Following the luncheon was this year’s first Marketing Meeting which saw representatives from all participating restaurants as well as sponsors and partners gather at the Quill Convention Centre. Led by Dato’ Steve Day, the meeting covered the finer points of the Festival including important dates, goals, key strategies, media and marketing initiatives and various other discussion points.
A section of the meeting was devoted to Taste MIGF, the preview event to the month-long festival, set to take place on 1 and 2 September.
Before the meeting concluded, the microphone was passed around the room giving everyone a chance to say a few words and break the ice.
As the meeting drew to an end, MIGF representatives went around the room to confirm restaurant photoshoots which will be taking place over the next few weeks. For sneak peaks at menus and chefs in action, check out our Instagram and Facebook feeds.
This year’s event will once again take place in the Berjaya Times Square Hotel, where the 14th floor will be transformed into a gastronomic carnival reflecting this year’s theme: ‘Muhibah Chefs – Good Food Brings Us Together’. Meanwhile, mark your diaries for September 1 and 2 for Taste MIGF!
