Located away from the hustle and bustle of the capital, in the verdant grounds of the Tournament Players Club, Mamanda is a bastion of traditional Malay and Indonesian cuisine. Having first opened its doors in Singapore a decade ago, the fine dining brand was brought to KL under the guidance of renowned chef Dato’ Fazley Yaakob.

The lavish surroundings of Mamanda echo that of a royal palace with gold trimmings and plush, red upholstered chairs rounding each table. Weddings are held here regularly as the traditional Malay dais by the floor-to-ceiling windows denotes, and private dining rooms surrounding the room are ideal for any number of special occasions.

Mamanda’s menu reflects the culinary heritage of Malay Archipelago, featuring iconic dishes from around this region. The Nasi Ambeng is a must-try here – a popular rice dish of Malay and Javanese origin, typically served with a variety of sides and gravy including rendang, sambal goreng and serunding. Presented on a large round tray, the dish signifies unity and is shared between groups of four to five people.
