| Each year the Malaysia International Gourmet Festival presents awards to selected participants to recognise the country’s top food and beverage professionals and encourage more young people to take up careers in the hospitality industry. This year all awards were announced at the Festival’s Grand Finale Dinner on 2 November 2009.
