This veteran of MIGF will be participating in his fifth Festival this year, and has managed to snag a raft of awards throughout this period. The bubbly chef has also been the recipient of the coveted Gold Medal at the 5th World Gold Chef Competition and gold awards for Excellent Service by SPRING Singapore, as well as having been featured in several international culinary TV shows and events.
Food is one of life’s greatest pleasures,” says Chef Ricky. Having been surrounded by food his entire life, and greatly influenced by his cousin, his fate with food was perhaps always sealed. His 20 years of experience have brought him around Asia, having worked in Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and Thailand, picking up tried and trusted habits and techniques from each culture along the way, and resulting in a very well-rounded repertoire.
