Coming from a background in architecture, Chef Johnny was a late bloomer but quickly realised his love for cooking, dumping the compass and pencil, and capitlising on his new found creative abilities, constructing works of art on a plate. Many people would see this as a unconventional move and by Chef Johnny’s own admission, it may well be that.

Celebrated as one of the rising stars in the Southeast Asian culinary scene, you may recognise Chef Johnny from one of his programmes on Asian Food Channel; however you will never find him far from the kitchen as he loves the fast-paced and spontaneous environment it provides.

The ingredients at Tanzini are sourced as much as possible from local farms, providing the restaurant with the freshest seafood and organic vegetables. His philosophy centres on simple but good food, looking to enhance the natural tastes of the ingredients rather than over-complicating things and possibly diluting the inherent flavours. This maxim, along with Chef Johnny's culinary prowess and eye for detail are what makes Tanzini's one of KL's hottest new eateries and a perfect fit for MIGF.
