Having trained and worked under Hitoshi Kimijima, a well-known Executive Chef of Ozeki Tokyo Cuisine in Kuala Lumpur (who was a former award-winning master chef in MIGF 2003), Chef James is ready to take up the mantle from his former sensei and showcase his creations to diners of Kiraku.

Chef James’ career journey was a circumstantial one; from young, he was gifted with a palate for food. Not satisfied with his family’s cooking, he promptly rolled up his sleeves and dove into the kitchen with zest. There, he discovered his passion for cooking and the rest, as they say, is history.

When asked about his feelings on joining MIGF for the first time, Chef James was extremely enthusiastic: “I’m very excited about it, and I can’t wait to present our Festival Menu to our diners. I am confident that they will be pleasantly blown away!” he says.
