With over 20 years under his belt, Chef Kok Chee Kin is no newcomer to the culinary world of fine Chinese cuisine. It has been a long journey climbing the ladder to the coveted top-chef’s hat and the envied position as Executive Sous Chef of the acclaimed Dynasty Restaurant.

Beginning his professional journey as Chef de Partie at the Putra World Trade Centre, Chef Kok then moved to hotels, securing a position as Assistant Chinese Banquet Chef at the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur, this was followed by a spell at the Renaissance Hotel, where he swiftly moved up the ranks to Chinese Banquet Chef and finally Chef de Cuisine.

Apart from being a successful chef, Chef Kin has also shown an aptitude for management, having twice won the hotel’s Manger of the Quarter award. For his Festival Menu, the dashing and humorous Chef Kok is set to tempt diners with such specialities as steamed seafood orange dumpling, Yin Yang Norwegian salmon and grilled cod fillet served with mash potato in saffron broth.
