From childhood, 37-year-old Chef Kamaroull has been fascinated by the business of cooking. Immersed at a young age in the simplicity and refinement of the most traditional Malay food learnt from the best teachers – his family – he has carried his love and developed his skills throughout his career.

Since joining Enak KL, Chef Kamaroull has been concentrating on learning more about the treasures of traditional Malay cuisine and the subtleties of flavours long forgotten and now revived. In his Festival Menu, he offers you dishes that have brought fulfilment to Malaysians across the ages. Start with the banana balsam matched with ferns that grow wild throughout the country and grilled fish marinated in a thick and fragrant coconut milk-based mix.

Then go on to the mains that comprise duck, lamb ribs and prawns, and follow this up with a delectable dessert made with young coconut, coconut milk, jackfruit and glutinous rice.
