Chef Murugan has refined his culinary skills throughout 22 years of experience in restaurant’s and hotel’s fine dining kitchen such as banquet kitchen and the Chalet kitchen of Equatorial Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
He has competed in Food Festivals in several countries like Switzerland, Vietnam and Malaysia. Chef Murugan received a bronze medal in hot cooking Kuala Lumpur Gourmet Festival 2005, silver medal for the fish category and bronze medal for the beef category of hot cooking in Kuala Lumpur Gourmet Festival in 1995 and in 2007.
Chef Murugan came in first place in culinary arts competition organized by Food & Hotel Malaysia (FHM). In plans to broadened his career in fine dining, Chef Murugan has joined this new journey to build Samplings On The Fourteen Restaurant into one of Kuala Lumpur’s popular fine dining experience.
The restaurant is now being steered to the direction Westen Classic Fine Dining Cuisine under his vast experience.
