Inspired by his mother’s cooking, Chef Rakesh Prasad joined the Spice of India group five years ago. Previous culinary experiences in Mumbai and Jakarta have left no changes on Rakesh’s authentic Punjabi creations.
Punjabi cuisine just as you would find it at home except with a royal refinement to fit the Royal India brand. Rakesh, an avid cricket fan, exudes similar traits with his humble humility and modesty stating, ‘I am only working to ensure that my customers are satisfied.’ Rakesh prepares a variety of dishes including some of his own favourites such as mutton dum biryani wrapped in a wheat flower japati and raan sikandari, a whole leg of lamb cooked in North Indian style.
