Makan Kitchen located on Level 11 of the newly opened Doubletree by Hilton, Kuala Lumpur is the hotel’s signature restaurant with 350 seats. A true showcase of Malaysian dining, this locally-inspired restaurant is filled with lots of culinary actions where specialty chefs serve no less than six local cuisines; from the popular Malay, Chinese, and Indian to the more authentic Peranakan, Kristang and Iban delights from three distinct show kitchens. Diners will experience first-hand the journey from selecting fresh local produce set in a ‘market style’ showcase, to choosing their preferred style and finally watching the chefs work their magic!
Makan Kitchen is headed by a team of speciality chefs comprising Selangor-born Chef de cuisine, Ahmad Nurul Azri Abdul Manaf, Indian Chef Prem Kumar Jeyaraman from Ipoh and Chef Kua Beng Hooi from Penang. A true showcase of Malaysian dining, the 350-seat restaurant’s distinct interior has strong ethnic interlays and influences along with several locally themed semi private and private rooms that are perfect for business dining or family gatherings.
