HOTEL IMPERIAL INTRODUCES CELEBRITY CHEF DANIEL EVANGELISTA AND CHEF RAJESH KANNA FOR MALAYSIA INTERNATIONAL GOURMET FESTIVAL 2008
Kuala Lumpur, November 2008 – Hotel Imperial, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kuala
Lumpur is proud to re-introduce Villa Danieli to the gourmands in Kuala Lumpur with its
participation in the Malaysia International Gourmet Festival 2008. The authentic Italian
restaurant in the hotel will showcase the culinary expertise of its Executive Sous Chef
Rajesh Kanna and team for the festival running from 1-30 November 2008. Chef Rajesh
will be introducing specially created dishes that highlight his talents especially in
authentic Italian cuisine that is befitting to the character of the featured restaurant, Villa
Danieli.
Chef Rajesh assists Executive Chef Greg Hjorth, in overseeing the overall kitchen
operations of all food and beverage requirements at the hotel. This includes the
restaurants as well as corporate and social events organized at the hotel. Rajesh brings
with him a decade’s worth of experience to Hotel Imperial, a Luxury Collection Hotel,
Kuala Lumpur, having worked in various renowned hotels within Malaysia and
Singapore. In the course of his career, he has participated in various culinary
competitions and has received the Excellent Service Award (EXSA).
His talent coupled with his versatility and creativity has enabled him to bring out the best
of his culinary skills to fulfill guests’ expectations in providing unforgettable dining
experiences as well as to steer his culinary team to achieve their goals and aspirations.
Expect to have your tastebuds teased and delighted with specially created menus of four
courses to seven courses for your selection; starting from RM155++.
In the true spirit of the festival, the hotel will also be presenting visiting chef Daniel
Evangelista who has satisfied gourmands from Milan to Paris to Sydney. Not a stranger
to the local press and television, he now manages a total of 3 restaurants in Ankara
overseeing a total of 50 cooks to meet the restaurants’ demands to serve fine Italian
cuisine. Chef Daniel Evangelista brings with him an 18 year experience in not only
Italian cuisine but Mexican, Turkish, French and Australian. Prepare for an unforgettable
dining experience this 1-15 November 2008.
Villa Danieli opens for lunch from 12 noon to 2.30pm from Mondays to Fridays and
serves dinner from 6.30pm to 10.30pm from Mondays to Sunday. For reservations, please
