Second-time MIGF participant, Executive Chinese Chef Michael Wong’s experience in the kitchen began at young age, as he cooked for his siblings while his mother worked. It was a natural progression to move into restaurant catering, where Chef Michael found that he really revelled in the culinary arts. He learned the intricacies and practices of Chinese cuisine preparation, and gained invaluable, hands-on experience in various Malaysian establishments. “I’ve never regretted becoming a chef, because there are so many opportunities everywhere to excel,” states Chef Michael. Clearly very proud of his heritage, this chef specialises in traditional Cantonese food - utterly fresh and light, not too spicy or rich, and easy on the palate |
