Exuberant and larger-than-life, Chef Jochen Kern is prone to cracking jokes, and his booming laughter is awfully infectious. However, when it comes to the culinary arts, he is passionate and seriously earnest. Chef Jochen earned the professional designation ‘Master of Trade’ (among many other prestigious titles) and that certifies him to be a master instructor of culinary arts. Among the illustrious diners that have sampled his cuisine are Queen Elizabeth II, President Clinton, Tun Dr. Mahathir, and the Sultan of Brunei and family, among others.

MIGF 2008 will be Chef Jochen's third Festival, and he offers a very colourful and flavourful menu, complete with celebratory starter. "This year's MIGF menu for Chalet will be delectably simple, as I'm using the highest quality ingredients. The many flavours will give diners a most varied gourmet experience," he adds.
