The atmosphere in Chynna’s main dining room speaks volumes about what’s in store for diners. The Chinese theatre stage themed room tells of modern Hong Kong Cantonese presented with flair, all the while staying true to its roots.

Herb cabinets line two small walls and are the toolbox of Chynna’s resident herbal doctor who blends teas and provides ingredients to be prepared by the restaurant’s Executive Chef to cure what ails.

An open dim sum kitchen affords diners dinner and a show as the many and varied dim sum items are prepared in an open kitchen as a focal point of the dining room. Several private dining areas, beautifully and thematically decorated, allow diners to entertain friends, family and business associates in an intimate environment separated from the main dining areas.

THE CHEF
Executive Chinese Chef Lam Hock Hin is a well-known personality on the Malaysian fine dining scene. He witnessed the early days of Malaysia’s gastronomic industry as it grew from one emphasising quantity and price to one concerned with quality and presentation.

While Chef Lam Hock Hin works with a culinary palate confined to Chinese ingredients, he draws inspiration from within and from preparations created by his peers to revolutionize Chinese cuisine. With artful presentations and years of experience, he makes it all look effortless. "I try never to rest on my laurels, and constantly seek new ways to delight my guests by keeping my menu on the cutting edge," the chef says.

Chef Lam Hock Hin has worked in numerous Hilton Hotels including Hilton Seremban, Beijing and now, Kuala Lumpur.
